Farewell Mr Francis Dadson

Senior Francis, thanks for your contributions to the Old Saints’ Association of North America. You supported us way before your cohorts did. You never treated us like juniors. Rather, you treated us like colleagues and imbued us with confidence and encouraged us when we were taking baby steps towards becoming the Old Saints North American Association. All of us, including those who did not even meet you at St. John’s, respect and admire your trailblazing role in making St. John’s a formidable power in basketball.
Your absence will be deeply felt in Rhode Island when we come together in July. Your contributions to our growth cannot be measured in money, but in the hearts you blessed with your presence; you will remain in our hearts forever!
Thank you, thank you, and thank you once again, for your life. And we’re comforted by the timeless words of the poet:
“To live in the hearts of others is not to die”(Kahlil Gibran).

Farewell, Senior Dadson!
Joseph Honny
